Hello Lakers! Welcome back to the 2026-2027 school year! Enclosed is a complete school year calendar. You can also find it posted on our website.
Our Elementary Back to School Open House will be on August 26th from 6-7 pm. This will be a time to check out classrooms, see some familiar faces, and meet our new staff.

Important Notes
Arrival
The school will begin at 7:55 a.m. The CTC bus will leave at 7:55 a.m.
Elementary students should use the Elementary entrance for drop-off. Please adhere to the new procedures posted for drop-off and pick-up at the Elementary entrance.
Middle/High School students should use the Middle/High School entrance for drop-off.
Students arriving by bus will use the bus entrance.
The school building will open at 7:30 a.m., and students must report directly to their classrooms after using their lockers.
Student belongings, such as backpacks and jackets, must remain in lockers throughout the school day.
The school building will remain locked at all times. Visitors should use the doorbell and clearly state their name and purpose for entrance to the building.
Dismissal
The school will be dismissed at 2:50 p.m. M-Th, and 12:50 p.m. on Friday.
Students in grades K-6 will be walked to the bus by a school adult.
Elementary students who will be picked up or those who walk will be escorted out to the Elementary entrance by a school adult. Please adhere to the new procedures posted for drop-off and pick-up at the Elementary entrance.
School Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures
To help ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families, we ask that everyone follow these pick-up and drop-off procedures:
Students will not be allowed to leave the entrance area to vehicles. Students will be released to vehicles in the pick-up line.
Remain in your vehicle at all times while in the pick-up and drop-off line.
Pull forward as far as possible before stopping to load or unload students.
Students should enter and exit vehicles on the curbside whenever possible.
Please do not park, leave your vehicle, or walk through the traffic lane to meet your child.
Follow the directions of school staff and all posted traffic signs.
Be patient and courteous to other drivers as we work together to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
These procedures help reduce congestion, maintain a smooth flow of traffic, and most importantly, keep our students safe. We appreciate your cooperation and support.
Cell Phones
Students may not use wireless communication devices on school grounds during school hours, except as otherwise provided in Policy 5209. Wireless communication devices must be stored in the student’s locker during school hours if a student chooses to bring them to school.
Free Lunch and Breakfast
We are excited to offer free lunch and breakfast to all students this school year. Breakfast will be eaten in the classroom. There is a Household Information Report included in this packet. Please fill it out regardless of your income status. This data helps us apply for universal free breakfast and lunch for all students.
Supplies
Please look for a letter from your child’s teacher with a list of essential supplies for this school year.
Great Beginnings After School Care
Please contact Lindsey Nowak at Great Beginnings for Information on after-school care for elementary students. You can reach her at 231-864-3133 ex. 2131.
Bus Transportation
Drivers will contact parents with approximate pick-up times and locations the week of August 24th. Please fill out the transportation survey sent via text alert if bussing is needed. Students must ride the bus home on their regular route.
Students Driving to School
Students who are licensed drivers must park in the south student parking lot during normal school hours, and all vehicles must be parked in a parking spot.
